72. Mick Jagger joins U2 and Fergie to perform \u2018Gimme Shelter\u2019 <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the star-studded Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th<\/sup> anniversary concert in New York\u2019s Madison Square Garden, Jagger performed the Rolling Stones classic \u2018Gimme Shelter\u2019 \u2013 joined by U2\u2019s Bono and Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie in an electric performance that saw Jagger nearly outshine Fergie\u2019s own high-energy dance moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fergie told\u00a0US Magazine<\/a><\/em>\u00a0joining Jagger onstage was a huge honour, saying she grew up with the Rolling Stones playing because they were her dad\u2019s favourite band. \u201cIt was electrifying to be up there with him, with this crazy kinetic energy bouncing off each other because we are both nuts and so that was great,\u201d she said. \u201cJust to have that kind of camaraderie and then to be on stage with U2 at the same time is classic rock and roll brilliance for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
