“Eres t\u00fa” is <\/a>Spain<\/strong> ‘s best song in Eurovision Song Contest history. This is what <\/a>RTVE Digital<\/a> users decided after voting in the poll published on the Eurovisi\u00f3n TVE Twitter profile<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song with which Mocedades<\/strong> represented our country in 1973<\/strong> received 1,016 votes out of 3,772. <\/strong>“Eres t\u00fa”<\/strong> , written by Juan Carlos Calder\u00f3n<\/strong> , reached second place in the competition held in Luxembourg<\/strong> , finishing just four points behind the winner, “Tu te reconna\u00eetras”, by Anne-Marie David.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, after the festival, the Spanish song’s success was far greater than that of the winner,<\/strong> with more than 70 versions<\/strong> in several languages \u200b\u200band charting worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, it holds the position of the highest-scoring Spanish song<\/strong> in the 59 Eurovision contest entries, with 125 points<\/strong> . It’s an added merit: that year only 17 countries awarded points, while<\/strong> in recent years more than 40 have done so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
