English rock titans\u00a0MUSE<\/strong>\u00a0unveil their new single, \u201cNightshift Superstar,<\/strong>\u201d and its accompanying music video. The latest glimpse into the world of their forthcoming tenth album,\u00a0The Wow! Signal<\/em>\u00a0(out June 26)<\/strong>, arrives as the band prepare to embark on a major North American amphitheater tour this summer, kicking off July 2 at Milwaukee\u2019s Summerfest before concluding at Los Angeles\u2019 Hollywood Bowl on August 31. Fueled by an irresistible hook, driving bassline, and a collision of rock, disco, and French house influences, \u201cNightshift Superstar<\/strong>\u201d continues the sonic expansion of\u00a0The Wow!\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As deliriously urgent as anything MUSE<\/strong> have shared yet, \u201cNightshift Superstar\u201d<\/strong> blurs their signature fiery rock with funky French house \u2014 sweeping up driving disco rhythms, orchestral flurries, pinwheeling guitars, and choir vocals in the process. In the midst of it all, Matt Bellamy<\/strong> sings about a subject who beckons him into a world of sleepless thrills: \u201cKiss that kills the pain, I crave again \/ Now I can\u2019t stay clean, you\u2019re my darkest dream \/ I need you one more time \/ Dancing free, you are, a nightshift superstar.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song offers another glimpse into the world of of The Wow! Signal<\/em><\/strong>, which is named after an infamous unexplained interstellar event. Last month, the band shared the fourth transmission so far \u2014 the towering \u201c<\/strong>Hexagons<\/a>,\u201d which fans unlocked by participating in a scavenger hunt spanning Sydney, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York, Paris, and London. Rock Sound<\/a> called the track \u201ca vibrant, stratospheric expedition into the most technically bold and audaciously beautiful components of the band\u2019s sound.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
