It\u2019s a line that could easily define the ageing hippy, a true original who\u2019s never wavered from the path of authenticity, sticking firmly to values of peace and love through the most troubled of times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such themes are never far from his heart on 41st studio album (and 14th album with long-serving band Crazy Horse) which was \u2013 fittingly enough \u2013 recorded in a converted barn high up in the Rockies. Opener \u2018Song Of The Seasons\u2018 suggests that the magical scenery made quite the impact on the world-weary environmentalist. After a soul-striking harmonica and chords that can&nbsp;<em>only<\/em>&nbsp;come from Neil Young, he sweetly sings:&nbsp;<em>\u201cLooking through a wavy glass window \/ In this old place by the lake\u2026 I see that nature makes no mistake.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raw and rugged at every turn, the album captures the telepathic bond that these rock\u2019n\u2019roll renegades have cultivated over the years. \u2018Heading West\u2019 lurches in with grunge guitars \u2013 Young pioneered<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/features\/best-grunge-albums-nirvana-hole-soundgarden-mudhoney-2773379\">&nbsp;the genre<\/a>&nbsp;in the late \u201980s \u2013 burning with both energy and optimism.
