The American alternative rock band The National\u2019s \u2018I Need My Girl<\/em>\u2018 was that gorgeous song with its hauntingly repetitive guitar playing on The Cleaning Lady<\/em><\/a> last night as Thony and Arman walk away from Kamdar, leaving Maya behind \u2014 The Cleaning Lady<\/em>, Season 2, Episode 7, \u201cTruth or Consequences<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A song that was even more poignant as we hear it continuing to play as Maya\u2019s body is being pulled out of the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National\u2019s \u2018I Need My Girl<\/em>\u2018 was originally released in 2013 on the indie band\u2019s sixth studio album Trouble Will Find Me<\/em> as the album\u2019s fifth single.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, as stunningly beautiful and almost mesmerizing this track is, it still only charted worldwide on two different charts in Belgium, despite it being commercially released as a single in the U.S., UK and Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has, however, been incredibly popular with both The National<\/a>\u2018s fans, and movie and TV music supervisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans have played the music video for \u2018I Need My Girl<\/em>\u2018 more than 16 million times, and listened to it almost 138 million times on Spotify alone. With some even saying they have played the song at their weddings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
