Much-tipped London outfit The Last Dinner Party return with new single ‘Sinner’.
The band have been causing a stir for a while now, their precocious live shows matching epic fashion looks to Baroque indie pop stylings. Debut single ‘Nothing Matters’ caused a ruckus, even prompting a mini-backlash online.
The Last Dinner Party have taken it all in their stride, and recently played a packed out set at Glastonbury. A flurry of live shows will follow, with the band now sharing all-new single ‘Sinner’.
Out now, the song feels more biting, more urgent than their debut, adding different layers to their sound. Slightly darker in tone, the James Ford production allows ‘Sinner’ to take on pop qualities while retaining their live performance aspect.
Guitarist Lizzie Mayland says… “’Sinner’ is a story of self-acceptance, and the longing for the past and present self to become one. Born from a breakbeat drum sample, Sinner is punctuated by ripping guitar lines and harmony-filled vocal breakdowns.”
