Laura Pausini says: “Lauro struck me from his first Sanremo. I wrote to him right away, and over the years, a special relationship has developed . I like his way of approaching our profession: passionate and obsessive in his attention to detail. Among his songs, 16 Marzo particularly struck me. I told him about my desire to do a cover and that I would love to duet, and he immediately became involved in the whole project. We worked together on an arrangement that represented both of us, starting from his world and arriving at our world. We wanted it to unite us and bring together contemporaneity and classicism.”
Achille Lauro echoes her sentiments : “Our relationship is born of mutual respect. Getting to know her on a personal level has been wonderful; we’ve agreed on so many things. I’m incredibly flattered that she chose one of my songs, and this collaboration has truly enhanced the piece.”
